The winners receiving their awards from Olympic Diving Silver Medallist, Peter Waterfield and Alwyn Hill from Combined Insurance

Combined Insurance teamed up with local newspaper, the Southern Daily Echo to launch another £10,000 Community Awards programme in the beginning of June 2004 to the community of Southampton.

The Community Awards programme, called “Make it Happen”, gave away a share of a £10,000 prize pool to people, groups and charities who wanted to benefit the community in the Southampton area.

Later in the year, a panel of judges decided which of the awards entries were most beneficial to the community and most deserving of the cash, then award winners were invited to a special awards ceremony.
